Morning routine and attentive children
A calm morning begins with a clear structure, fewer words, and positive reinforcement.
Many children with attention deficit disorder have difficulty getting organized in the morning due to impaired executive functions and difficulty
To help them, we will use a clear and visual structure:
A morning schedule with a list of tasks or drawings of the steps (brushing, dressing, meal)
Dividing into short steps with a clock or timer
Short, non-repeated reminders – a consensual gesture is better than endless speech
And end with positive reinforcement: “I liked that you got dressed on time even when you didn’t feel like it.”
When there is predictable order, there is security –
And when there is confidence, the day begins completely differently.
