Gifted: Finding the Social "Tribe"

Not every child needs to integrate “at all costs” – sometimes they just need a group that understands them.

Gifted children are not necessarily inhibited in their social skills,

But sometimes they feel “different” – think differently, are interested in topics that don’t always speak to their peers.

The parent's role is to help them

Science class, strategy club, creative writing or theater – anywhere where depth and creativity are an advantage.

Open conversation about meaningful friendships (“A friend who really listens to me”)

Help your child understand that true connection is not measured in quantity – but in quality.
